Draft 5
My project is based on of Uta Barth's photos. I did this by fully zooming in and going fully out of focus. By doing this, I was able to create simple shapes with simple colors. I wanted to mix colors and geometric shapes in a way to create a neat abstract image. I added the PicMonkey Film Grain filter to each of my photos in order to make my photos more simplistic. My themes are very simplistic and calming, and they make the viewer really think about the photo and try to interpret what the subject of the photo is. After my first day of taking photos, I learned that street lights are very good subjects for my photos, as they emit an unusual and prominent color. My photos changed since my Draft 4 photos by trying to have more simple shapes that have conflicting colors. I continued to try to create shapes in my photos so that the focus is not too drawn out into the corner by some bright light. I also read Casey's comments which suggested me to take these photos at night time. These photos turned out to be really pretty, and they turned out to be pictures of big blobs of light in the dark.

I really like how you added some night images. It really helped enhance your post and I think this is one of your strongest yet! I have no suggestions. Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteThe night images are the best ones of your entire series. You should keep taking more to include in your book.
ReplyDeleteYEAH! Good job with the night photos! They look so so good-- definitely include them in your book!
ReplyDeleteyour did a great job, I love the night photos the most! maybe try to explore taking more photos at night and editing them differently. Good job
ReplyDeleteThese are so cool. I especially like the images that you took in the dark. I think the black background and the circles of color are really interesting. I think that because of the dark background, it allows the colors to stand out more which is awesome.
ReplyDeleteYour night pictures look GREAT! You really brought out the colors and they are all so visually dynamic. Good work!
ReplyDeletegreat job working at night. Those images are really strong and i love the light. I think your images are cohesive because the filter is so prominent in your work. Im looking forward to flipping through your book!
ReplyDeleteI like how despite some were much darker than others, you still found a way to make them integrate together through the contrasting colors you had within each photo
ReplyDeleteNice job taking Casey's suggestion, I really think it worked out in your favor and made your images stronger. Great work with this series!
